Chairman of ICAM Board
Jim Hazel is the Chairman of the ICAM Board and sits on the ICAM Investment Committee. He is a prominent businessman with significant banking and investment banking experience. Jim currently Chairs Ingenia Communities Group Limited and serves on the boards of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank (ASX listed), Coopers Brewery Limited, Precision Group and some not for profit enterprises.
Jim is also a council member of the University of South Australia, a trustee of the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust and the Deputy Chairman of the Adelaide Crows. During the 1990’s Jim was Chief General Manager of Adelaide Bank. Jim has also served as a Director of the Motor Accident Commission (he was also Chairman of the Investment Committee).
ICAM Board Member
Ed is the Chairman and co-founder of Duxton Asset Management. Prior to joining Duxton, Ed was Head of Deutsche Asset Management Asia Pacific, Middle East & North Africa. He was also a member of Deutsche Bank’s (DB) Group Equity Operating Committee and Asset Management Operating Committee. Ed joined DB in 1999 as Head of Equities and Branch Manager of DB Switzerland, where he managed the sales team, researchers and traders. He was appointed Head of Global Equities for Asia and Australia in March 2001, and became responsible for all of Global Emerging Markets Equities in the beginning of 2003. In November 2004, Ed became Head of Asian and Emerging Market Equities for the new Global Markets Division.
Ed started his career in 1986 in Swiss equity sales for Credit Suisse in Geneva. In 1989, he moved to S.G. Warburg with responsibility for the sale of Swiss equities worldwide. During the SBC/Warburg merger, he spearheaded the reorganisation of the sales team in Swiss equities into three units, ultimately taking over the international team. In 1998, he was appointed Managing Director with responsibility for the International Swiss Equities and Derivatives sales force. Mr. Peter holds a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. Ed’s first foray into agricultural investing was in 1999 and he remains passionately interested in agriculture today. Ed is on the University of Adelaide’s agribusiness advisory board.
ICAM Board Member
Rob Chapman is a principal investor in the ICAM business and provides strategic advice to the Board and Management. Rob has enjoyed an extensive executive career within the financial services industry, having acted as both the Chief Executive Officer of St George Banking Group (2010 – 2012) and the Managing Director of BankSA (2002 – 2010).
Rob currently serves as a Director on a number of prominent South Australian Boards including Adelaide Airport Ltd (Chairman), Adelaide Football Club (Chairman), T-Ports (Chairman), Barossa Infrastructure Ltd (Chairman), Coopers Brewery Limited (Director), Radio Rentals (Director) and is the immediate past Chairman of Bank SA and past President of Business SA and CEDA South Australia.
Rob is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Financial Services Institute of Australasia and holds an Associate Diploma in Business from the South Australian Institute of Technology. Rob has been recognised for his consistent pursuit of excellence and outstanding contribution to South Australia with the 2005 SA Great Award for Business.
Funds Management Team
Freddy Bartlett is the Managing Director of ICAM, an Alternative Investments Fund Manager based in South Australia and has over 23 years of experience within the funds management industry across investment roles in Adelaide, Sydney and London. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Motor Accident Commission SA (MAC). He was responsible for the investment team, outsourced investment entities, as well as strategic and dynamic asset allocation of the $3.5B multi-asset government investment fund which encompassed a $150m infrastructure portfolio, a $600m direct property portfolio and a $350m cash portfolio. Freddy was also responsible for overall investment strategy setting, portfolio construction and capital management.
Prior to MAC, Freddy held an institutional portfolio management role at Allianz Australia for 3 years where he was responsible for 2 multi-asset insurance funds (one for circa $12B, and one for circa $4B), including a $400m direct property portfolio as well as senior roles across business development in Westpac (BT) and IAG Asset Management for managed funds and structured products. Freddy currently serves as a Director on the boards of Crime Stoppers SA, Westpac House Investment Trust 1, Churchill Centre North Investment Trust 1, ICAM ACIF Lucky Bay 2 Port Trust and he is a Division Councillor for the Property Council of Australia SA Division.

Head of Property Portfolio Management
Jane has over 20 years’ experience in the European and UK institutional property industry and has managed, repositioned and transacted a variety of core and value-add assets and portfolios.
Prior to joining ICAM Jane spent 13 years at AEW (2006-2019), one of the world’s largest real estate asset managers (€63.5bn of assets under management globally, of which €30bn in Europe). She held the position of Director Asset Management within AEW’s Pan-European London-based platform from 2015-2019, where her key areas of responsibility were:
• Directly responsible for a UK Top 20 shopping centre (£300mn) acquired on behalf of a US pension fund in 2015, leading a £30mn investment and repositioning programme and related AM initiatives;
• Asset Manager for the €800mn AEW Europe City Retail Fund, a core evergreen German Spezialfond focusing on prime high street retail assets across Europe;
• Managing a diverse portfolio of value-add assets in Spain and the UK for AEW’s European Value Partners Fund (€100mn), establishing and overseeing Joint Ventures with local operating partners;
• Managing a portfolio of Scottish shopping centres on behalf of a US/Dutch pension fund;
Jane joined AEW in 2006 as Asset Manager. In 2010 she was appointed Director and Head of Retail Asset Management for the Central European region, responsible for managing a €600mn shopping centre portfolio and leading a cross-border team. During this period she also headed up AEW Europe’s Hungarian office, overseeing operations and portfolio management (€200mn office and retail portfolio).
Before joining AEW Jane was Associate Director at real estate advisory firm Cushman & Wakefield (2001-2006); International Communications and Investor Relations Manager at privatisation agency APV Rt (1999–2001); and prior to that Trainee Producer and Monitor/Analyst at the BBC World Service in London.
Jane has an MA from Glasgow University, an MBA from Buckinghamshire University and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). She has also completed courses in Financial Analysis for Real Estate Investment (CCIM Institute), Managing Fashion & Luxury Companies (Bocconi) and Financing & Investing in Infrastructure.
Head of Infrastructure Portfolio Management
Antonio has over 15 years’ experience working in mergers & acquisitions, capital strategy and valuations. Antonio is responsible for the daily active management and continuous refinement of ICAM’s infrastructure portfolio. This includes driving new investment opportunities and working closely with the portfolio operational teams on delivery.
Previously, Antonio spent his career in corporate finance both in the UK and Australia, working for Sky plc in London. Following which he was a Director at KPMG Corporate Finance where he advised a number of domestic infrastructure operators and asset management businesses.
Antonio is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Adelaide University as well as a Bachelor and Masters of Applied Finance.
Investor Relations Manager
Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in senior management positions at a range of investment advisory and commercial businesses in Canada and Australia.
Prior to joining ICAM Sarah spent nine years at Codan Limited, an ASX-listed developer of innovative electronics products for global markets, where she was responsible for Corporate Development. Over this time Codan made two strategic acquisitions and divested five non-core businesses while growing its market capitalisation more than 400%. Sarah was also responsible for Investor Relations during this time and was tasked with improving the market’s understanding of Codan’s business model and profit drivers.
Prior to Codan, Sarah held senior roles at KPMG Australia, Leadenhall VRG and several Canadian investment firms where she analysed and executed valuation and M&A mandates for clients across agribusiness, manufacturing, mining and infrastructure industries.

Infrastructure Portfolio Analyst
Robert is an Infrastructure Portfolio Analyst at ICAM. His key responsibilities involve analysis of potential investments and managing Australian infrastructure investments. He was a key member of the infrastructure team responsible for the development and financial structuring of the Lucky Bay Port and Wallaroo Port Infrastructure Projects in South Australia. Robert is also Deputy Director of Con Ca Pty Ltd, a South Australian biotech company conducting anti-cancer research.

Property Portfolio Analyst
Wesley is a Property Portfolio Analyst at ICAM. He is responsible for financial modelling, analysis and reporting, across ICAM’s property portfolio.
Prior to joining ICAM, Wesley spent 9 years as Retail and Investment Banking analyst in South Africa. His experience includes the development of dynamic Portfolio Valuation, Area Risk, Funding and Cost Allocation models, within the Treasury, Portfolio Management and Valuation environments.

Justyna is an Investment Analyst at ICAM and was formerly in a similar role at the MAC of South Australia. In this position, she was responsible for assisting with the daily management of the internal cash portfolio and the internal direct property portfolio, as well as providing multi-asset class investment management assistance to the senior members of the investment team. She also acted as the Property Portfolio Manager for 4 months.
